Walk

Brian and I took Bandit to the dog park and we walked the perimeter while she raced around with the dogs and played.  It was more of a leisurely walk and I would say about 1.5 miles.  Was very nice.

Looking forward to another power walk on Wednesday night, if I have time I am going to try weights as well. I am not coughing much anymore.  I do get lightheaded though occasionally during the day so I have to watch that, hopefully that won’t last too much longer.

Yay!! I am back to working out!!! I took Bandit for a 2 mile power walk to see how my lungs would do. I did pretty well. No coughing but did feel out of breath for most of it. But thats ok!! I could really feel in my legs, feet and back that I haven’t gone jogging in a long time.

For the rest of the week I will stick to power walking with Bandit to get back into the routine and to let my lungs get used to working harder than they have been. This will be the last week for the inhaler and then I shouldn’t have to take any other medications, which also makes me happy.

Feels so good to be doing something again. :)

Nice 1 mi walk with co-workers.  Pretty hot out but there is a nice breeze that keeps you a little cooled off.  I am hoping that it stays like this, just a breeze and no wind, so that I can run tonight after it cools off a bit.  Looking forward to tonights run.

I walked one mile tonight. Boy do I feel ssooooo lazy lately. I ran once last week and walked tonight…that is it for almost two weeks!!! :( Not good, especially considering my 1/2 marathon is about 36 days away. AND I have been considering signing up for a sprint triathlon at the end of July!!!!

I am starting a new schedule next week and hopefully that will make completing my workouts easier for me. Obviously I need more commitment and self discipline…working on that now that is for sure!

To answer “garyd” (thanks for following up BTW!!) I am swimming on Mondays and Tuesdays starting next week with two friends (always a motivator knowing someone is expecting me there), then if a tornado isn’t heading my way (lol) I will get in a run on Monday nights, either way strength training on Mondays. Then the rest of the week will stay the same as now - Wednesday: jog/walk interval and strength training, Thursday: Kickboxing, Friday short run and butt ‘n’ gut and then Saturday: Long run and strength training. I will continue to have Sunday as my scheduled day off.

When the weather is too bad for running and since my treadmill is tuckered out I will go to the Rec. Center. As soon as I get my bike looked at by my hubbie and he gives me the go ahead I am going to incorporate some bike outside once or twice a week, and take out or shorten something else in my workout.

I feel great when I get in my workouts 6 days a week but lately I have been lazy, unmotivated and choosing not to work out when I very well could have. “BAD LINDSEY!”

So, next week with my new schedule - “I will be back on track commiting to my scheduled work out plan.” “I will be back on track commiting to my scheduled work out plan.” “I will be back……”
